One day someone asked me “What is circle?” Perhaps there are more women wondering the same thing, so here goes. A Circle is a small group of women who get together once a month for the purpose of studying the Bible, fellowship, and refreshments. We meet in members homes, at church, or a nursing home, or wherever place your group may choose.
Presently, we have three Circles. Circle week is usually the second week of the month.
These studies are informal and usually last about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the discussion. The purpose of Bible study is to learn more about God’s word. We study because we want to know more about Him and His Word, not because we think we know so much about the Bible.
If you are interested in joining a Circle or just want to know more about it, please call the church office at 681-1310 and we’ll find a group or a time that will be most convenient for your needs. We’d love to have you join us.
Quilters meet each week to sew, assemble, and tie quilts. Anyone is welcome to join, regardless of quilting experience.
Café is an award-winning Web-based magazine for young women who want to build Community, participate in Advocacy, strengthen Faith, and strive toward Enlightenment (CAFE!). It incorporates a Lutheran perspective for women of Christian faith or simply for any woman who is interested in how faith can relate to the issues that women face today.
Our readers include pastors, seminary and college students, and other young women who use Café as a Bible study resource individually or within their congregations. Many also use it to learn more about what the Lutheran church has to say about certain issues and to start discussions with friends or classmates.
Visit Café and sign up to receive e-mail alerts when new issues are posted. The monthly Café podcast is available through iTunes.
