The Trinity Church Foundation was established by the congregation of Trinity Church at the annual meeting in January of 1991. The Foundation's sole purpose is to receive, invest, and distribute funds for the benefit of Trinity Lutheran Church. The Foundation articles of incorporation provide that funds can be used for missions at home and abroad, for outreach in the community, for scholarships and grants, for capital improvements or special programs which would not ordinarily be included in the budget of Trinity Church.
The Foundation receives no funding from the Church, only from gifts and donations specifically designated for the Foundation. The cost of providing support for the many projects is great, and the need for additional gifts and donations is ongoing. Since its inception in 1991, the Foundation has provided in excess of $190,000 in financial support for the missions, special programs, and capital improvements for Trinity Church. Just recently the Foundation has supported the church air conditioning project, pastoral education, and making the Lutheran Magazine available to the congregation. Past major projects which the Foundation has assisted in funding include: Challenge grants of $10,000 of the church window project, $5,000 for the organ restoration project, $5,000 for the heating system project, and $5,000 for the air conditioning project.
